The Scariest Thing I’ve Done This Halloween.

Happy Halloween Everyone!!

It’s Spooky season and the weather finally feels like fall in Texas! I am drinking roasted pecan flavored coffee that my husband brought back from PJ’s coffee in Monahans Texas in my Dell coffee cup. A gift from my Dell Tech Crew training at school last year.

I am sitting in my little home office space, typing a little idea I had over the weekend…If you know me at all then you know how much I enjoy scary stuff. Roller coasters, horror films, and Stephen King books to name a few. Also, I am pumped to be co-owner to two sweet baby black cats on Halloween day. I keep telling them, “It’s your day!” knowing full well their fur color has nothing to do with anything from our human culture or history.

I must also say that October has been a fantastic full month for me that has felt both meaningful and intentional. My time has had a purpose this month. All of the Halloween rides at FireCycle have amped up the energy of this season, and I am gearing up for the ultimate Halloween ride tonight. Although I will not be dressing up.

The fall weather this weekend has hit just right and the seasons are changing, for me and the weather of course! The last six months of heat in Texas were dry and scorching, and I did not get to swim as much as I wanted to.

In honor of Halloween I wanted to do something scary. Put myself out there. Start a new business. Yeah SPOOKY! It’s scary that I may actually be revealing myself to the world…and to the internet? Hopefully I won’t encounter any trolls this Halloween.

I keep telling myself it’s too early, I am not ready! The website I’ve been working on for months is not complete. But sometimes babies come early and when they are ready to be born. So this post is coming out today with the Blog section of my website.

Christine told me it’s okay for my website to be 80% done…and I’d say it’s about 50% done, but I am writing. I want to write and I’ve got so many stories to tell. Today is the perfect day to push something out into the world that’s me. So I will start with my blog, then other sections of my website will be born *hopefully soon* after.

My close friends and family know…but for the world, I am starting my own freelance content writing business and blog. Wow, scary! Do I dare challenge the status quo by migrating over to the realm of self employment this Halloween season?? Do I dare reveal pieces of myself to the world? Should I put myself out there…on the internet?? YES!! And I would love for you to follow me on this new journey.
